Sponsors and Donors
CSAR is a registered charity dedicated to encouraging appreciation and understanding of the application of research. We engage with a wide range of people and our funds provide educational lectures, debates and book evenings which are open to all, visits to industry and research establishments, awards for PhD students, and opportunities for schools to become involved. All funds directly support these charitable activities: CSAR has no employees and all roles in the society are undertaken by dedicated volunteers.
In recent years the Society has been able significantly to expand its activities, particularly Student Awards, through the generous support of donors, whom we acknowledge with gratitude:
- David Adamson
- Jane and John Baker
- Peter Duncumb
- Peter Forster
- John Godfrey
- Roots for Real
- Richard & Anne King Charitable Trust
- Microsoft Research
- Alex Reid
- Lawrence Sherman and Heather Strang
- David and Elizabeth Wallace
Sponsoring us is a great way of fostering interest and enthusiasm in the application of research, at the same time helping you achieve your reputational and citizenship objectives. If you are considering sponsoring us, please talk to one of our committee members, or contact the President, Sir David Wallace, at: President@csar.org.uk
We are grateful to Microsoft Research for its support for the CSAR Lecture Programme and Student Awards in 2015-17.
